Martha, my dear
though I spend my days in conversation, please
Remember me
Martha, my love
Don't forget me
Martha, my dear
Hold your head up, you silly girl
look what you've done
When you find yourself in the thick of it
Help yourself to a bit of what is all around you
Silly girl
Take a good look around you
Take a good look you're bound to see
that you and me were meant to be
with each other
Silly girl
Hold you're hand out, you silly girl
see what you've done
When you find yourself in the thick of it
Help yourself to a bit of what is all around you
Silly girl
Martha, my dear
you have always been my inspiration
please, be good to me
Martha, my love
Don't forget me
Martha, my dear.
Long long long - The Beatles (03:04)
It's been a long long long time How could I ever have lost you When I loved you It took a long long
long time Now I'm so happy I found you How I love you So many tears I was searching, So many tears I
was wasting, oh oh Now I can see you, be you How can I ever misplace you How I want you How I love
you Your know that I need you Oh I love you So many tears I was searching, So many tears I was
wasting, oh oh Now I can see you, be you How can I ever misplace you How I want you How I love you

@Nic01224......yeah it really is a song directed to God, but he had Bob Dylan's chord progressions from "Sad Eyed Lady of the Lowlands." Nic, The Fabs drew from everywhere. You made a great comment. I hope you saw them in Feb '64 like I did.

This is one of the best Haarrison songs in my view. I think the White Album, as a whole, like much of the albums is a very mixed bunch of songs either awful or amazing. I think theirs only Revolver and Pepper that have good material all the way through. Now without starting an online fued, Let It Be, The Beatles and their early stuff like Please Please Me are only mediocre albums with some amazing songs, rather than being amazing albums with a few poor songs.
